How to Judge the Quality of Supermarket Roll Cages

Judging the quality of supermarket roll cages requires a comprehensive         evaluation from five core dimensions: materials, welding process, surface         treatment, load-bearing capacity, and structural design, ensuring their safety         and durability during high-frequency use.

1. Materials and Thickness

Steel Material: High-quality products use Q235 or Q195 high-strength wire         rod, which has high strength, good ductility, and strong impact resistance.

Channel Steel and Wire Diameter: The thickness of the bottom channel steel         should be ≥2.0mm, and the wire diameter of the mesh is recommended to be ≥4.0mm,         directly affecting the load-bearing stability.

Mesh Size: Commonly 50×50mm or 50×100mm. Mesh that is too large will cause         small items to slip off, while mesh that is too dense will increase weight and         cost.

2. Welding Process

Weld Strength: All mesh intersections must be fully welded, with no         incomplete welds, missing welds, or detached welds. Special attention should be         paid to the connection between the door frame and the uprights.

Welding Method: Carbon dioxide gas shielded welding is recommended, resulting         in uniform welds and high strength, superior to ordinary arc welding.

3. Surface Treatment and Rust Prevention Performance

Zinc Layer Thickness: Hot-dip galvanizing is superior; the zinc layer         thickness should be ≥80um, providing corrosion protection for over 8 years.

Cold Galvanizing vs. Hot-Dip Galvanizing: Cold galvanizing produces a bright         appearance but has weak rust prevention, suitable for dry indoor environments;         hot-dip galvanizing is necessary for humid or outdoor environments.

No Burrs, No Scratches: The surface should be smooth and flat to prevent         scratches to goods or personnel during handling.

4. Load-Bearing Capacity and Structural Stability

Static Load-Bearing Capacity: Legitimate products should provide a         third-party testing report; the static load-bearing capacity should be no less         than 1000kg, with heavy-duty models reaching over 1500kg.

Stacking Stability: Supports stacking of 4 layers or more; the bottom         structure must be reinforced with U-shaped steel or triangular reinforcing         plates to prevent deformation.

Folding Hinge Durability: The hinge should rotate smoothly without loosening,         be durable, and withstand fatigue tests of ≥10,000 opening and closing         cycles.

5. Detailed Design and Accessory Quality

Door Lock Mechanism: The bolt-type door lock should be flexible and reliable,         with no wobbling after closing, preventing accidental opening during         transportation.

Optional Accessories: Whether it supports the addition of PVC baffles, iron         plate edging, casters, etc., to improve anti-roll and movement performance.
